For the coming fall and winter seasons, Triwood has been working on finding creative ways to keep our community engaged during a time when social distancing is making it difficult to participate in the festive activities we’ve become accustomed to! Please follow our webpage, Facebook, and Instagram for updates on events happening in October, such as our “Spooktacular Scavenger Hunt”. We will certainly miss the Triwood Haunted House this season, but are excited to still be offering safe, fun Halloweening options within the neighbourhood!

Also in October, we are extremely eager to be hosting this year’s Annual General Meeting. In addition to our regular AGM activities, we will be sharing updates on the progress our Facility Enhancement Committee has made in 2020. Community members will be able to view conceptual architectural drawings of the planned expansion to the Triwood Community Hall. We are looking forward to engaging our members and growing our team of active volunteers who have been working on this project so far. As we move on to the next stage of our vision; your ideas, skills, and knowledge may be of great help to your community. Please be sure to attend the AGM on Thursday, October 22, at 7:00 pm to learn more about our expansion plans and be a part of our annual meeting.

We are also happy to announce that our arena is up and running! City leagues and venues are getting used to a number of restrictions this season, but have so far been able to “play on”! I’d invite those of you who are eager to get on the ice but don’t have a team or time for heavy commitment, to consider looking into the Triwood Broomball program. We have moved the ice time for this free community program to Sundays at 5:30 pm. Keep busy and fit this winter by trying a fun new sport! Sign up today at triwoodcommunity.com
