Queensland Crime Activity was Up in January 2024

Queensland Calgary experienced 5 crimes in January 2024, in comparison to 3 crimes the previous month, and 5 crimes in January one year ago. The Queensland community has an average of 4.2 crimes per month. On an annual basis, Queensland had a total of 50 crimes as of January 2024, which is up 4% in comparison to 48 crimes as of January 2023. Total Queensland community crimes is calculated as the sum of break & enters (dwelling, commercial, and other premises), theft from vehicles, theft of vehicles, assaults (nondomestic), commercial robberies, street robberies, and non-domestic ‘other’ violence.

Queensland Calgary had 0 break and enter (B&E) crimes in January, in comparison to 0 B&E crimes in December and 1 B&E crime in January 2023. On an annual basis, Queensland had a total of 1 B&E crime as of January 2024, which is down from 6 B&E crimes as of January 2023.

Queensland had 5 vehicle related crimes (theft of or theft from vehicles) in January 2024, in comparison to 3 vehicle related crimes in the previous month, and 2 vehicle related crimes in January 2023. On an annual basis, Queensland had a total of 36 vehicle related crimes as of January 2024, which is up in comparison to 26 vehicle related crimes as of January 2023.
